About Emily

Haitian-American. Singer/Songwriter. Worship Leader. That’s how Emily Michael describes herself. Rooted in Haitian heritage and writing from St. Louis, her music carries the language of two worlds — her own email handle still reads mizik, the Haitian Creole word for music.

She has been releasing songs since 2021. The Incense EP — five tracks recorded between January and May of that year — introduced the quiet, prayer-shaped writing she has been deepening ever since. You Are the Manna followed in 2025 — a hymn for the seasons when sustenance feels scarce and faith asks us to trust one day at a time. Her newest single, God is Love (featuring Elijah Neeley), released April 10, 2026.

She is a Carriage House Worship contributor, and tours when she’s not in the studio — see upcoming gatherings →. Between releases, she writes openly: a recent reflection she titled The Gift of Suffering drew enough response from her readers that they asked her to keep going.
